Here it is, finally, in all its glory, our interview with our Jan-Mar Kit of the Quarter winner, Toejammer. His prize was a drum trigger t-shirt from Thinkgeek.com. I apologize, yet again, for the delay in getting this posted, but here it is!Drumrock: Whats up with the red feet?Toejammer: The red feet are what you get when you find a deal on a shell pack thats too good to pass up ! After a long discussion ....
Today on the review plate is a 22” custom kick head done up by DrumART.com. DrumART is owned and operated by Jim Feck, who has been doing this work since 1997. He will literally take any piece of artwork you can come up with and put it on a kick head. Additionally, they partner with istockphoto.com, which has over 1.5 million royalty-free images (they do charge for these images but the pricing is very reasonable). DrumART will also do the artwork ....
I get a lot of questions regarding what Drumrock is all about – where we came from, where we are, where we’re going. Why do we do things the way we do them? What’s the purpose and motivation? All questions easily and not easily answered. A Little HistoryDrumrock came online as a forum in December of 2003. There was really no sense of direction associated there I was just playing around with some discussion forum software and decided ....

The Meridians offer several key improvements over the Pro M and M BIRCH series drums, most notably the new Isolated Tom Mount System and the lower mass lugs. We’ll touch on all of these here shortly.
After getting the tour of the booth from Jeff Ivester of Mapex and going over the ins and outs of all ....
Im a tad late in getting this up, due to the Dom interview and the Mapex Meridian review, and I apologize, again to, Mark for being slow. Our Oct-Dec 2008 Kit of the Quarter winner was forum member MrFishofFilth (FoF for this blurb). He recieved a NAMM 2009 swag pack with a T-shirt, hat, and assorted goodies from the floor! So heres what he had to say!
DR: Was there anyone drummer that influenced your kit setup?
Drumrock Interviews: Dom Famularo, Winter NAMM 2009, Sabian BoothInterview by: Tim RobinsonPhotos courtesy Dom’s website and Flickr page, Jack Tateel.Woodstick 2004. I’d heard of Dom Famularo – had heard of his unique style - but had never seen him play. So as we’re rolling through the event, my wife looks at me and goes “Is this guy crazy – he’s all over the place.” I simply replied, nope, that’s Dom’s style ....
This is my annual article about the sights and sounds of each years just completed NAMM show. Im sorry to report that the sights were somewhat lacking and the sounds were not whatI have learned to expect. Im convinced theglobal economic woescan be blamed for this. While the manufacturers are too busy clinging to their share of a greatly diminished market, the buyers (those that are still in business)no longer ....
Well - this was Drumrocks final day at Winter NAMM 2009 and the feeling that I got leaving the show was one of, well, mixed feeling. Dont get me wrong - I love coming down to the show, walking the floor, talking with people, manufacturers and artists, looking at the gear. Thats all fun and exciting.
What has fundamentally changed things this year is the economy I think. Most major manufactures ....
